Claremont Halls

Claremont has three large halls that are used by a wide range of groups. We generally only make bookings for groups on a sessional basis (groups that have regular meetings here), although ad hoc bookings can be made by other charities and community groups. We're sorry but we don't accept bookings for receptions or parties.

The Old Hall, which is about 11m long and 7.5m wide, is suitable for groups of up to 70-80 seated people and the New Hall, which is larger (14m by 6.5m) and further away from the street, has a sprung floor and can accommodate around 110 seated. The Old Hall is currently let at a rate of £18/hr and the New Hall at £25/hr. The Upper Hall on the first floor is larger than the Old Hall (11m by 8m), features a new sprung floor and has it's own kitchen and is charged at £20/hr.

The New Hall

The New Hall is bright and modern.

The Old Hall

The Old Hall has a lovely atmosphere and good proportions. The floor has recently been completely refurbished.

The Upper Hall

The Upper Hall has a brand new professionally sprung dance/activity floor, is beautifully light and airy and is a fantastic space for creative activities, especially dance/movement related.
