About Claremont Project

Together We Matter

We are a very friendly, open, and welcoming community. We have a large programme of groups, classes and projects aimed at being creative and healthy in body and mind, and at helping to develop real and lasting friendships. Most of our activities are for people aged 55 and over.  We also provide a low-cost psychotherapy service, as well as a couples/relationship counselling service, for Islington residents (18+).

Activities for People Aged 55+

Our classes and groups meet both online and, when possible, at our centre in Angel, Islington. Please check our What’s On! page for more information.

We have more than 35 regular weekly classes, as well as special events, concerts, projects, and visits. We also have a range of online classes on Zoom for those unable to leave their homes.

We aim to provide the best classes possible, from the best tutors we can find. We often do this in partnership with some of London’s leading arts, health, educational, and cultural organisations – Royal College of Music, Sadlers Wells, Ballet Rambert, The Barbican, Royal Albert Hall, The National Theatre, Tate Modern, the British Museum, and many others. We want to offer classes we are proud of – aspirational and inspirational.

Psychotherapy & Bereavement

We run a psychotherapy and bereavement service for people unable to afford private psychotherapy. If you live in Islington and are looking for this kind of help, please see here.

Room Hire

We have three large halls and a number of rooms for hire, including rooms for psychotherapy. For more information on these facilities,  please see here.
