Please note that we do our best to keep this calendar up-to-date but with so much going on at Claremont, we occasionally drop the ball. It’s unlikely for example that we’ll be quick enough to change the timetable if a tutor cancels at short notice. If you want to be certain about a class running, please call us! Tel: 020 7837 3402. Please also note that tickets bought online for our classes are non-refundable, for that day/class class only, and cannot be used for a different day or carried forward to another class!

Friday 23rd June Concert
About the event
Introducing this week’s performers…
Lumas Winds (Wind Chamber Group)
Lumas Winds are a chamber group made up of graduates from the Royal College and Royal Academy of Music. We were ‘young artists in residency’ at the Corbridge Chamber Music Festival 2021 and have performed in venues such as Champs Hill in Sussex where we later returned to record our debut album under the Champs Hill record label – our disc of British wind music will be released in July 2023.
The group won the RAM Historical Woman Composer prize performing Elizabeth Maconchy’s wind quintet which will be included in the disc. We were also finalists in this years Royal Over Seas League Mixed Ensemble category.
Most recently Lumas have just been accepted by the prestigious Tunnel Trust to be artists for their 23/24 season.
The group aims to perform, promote and make a case for repertoire that isn’t in the regular canon but deserves to be so. We are also in a position to be as flexible as needs be, for instance involving piano or strings.
