Alexander Heather (Double Bassist)
Alex Heather is a double bass player currently in fourth year at the Royal College of Music under the tuition of Caroline Emery. Born in Mount Kisco, New York, he began playing the double bass at age 9 and studied at the Westchester Music Conservatory and The Juilliard School in New York City. In 2014 Alex moved to the UK with his family to attend Wells Cathedral School (WCS) as a Specialist Musician and studied under David Heyes for five years. After leaving WCS Alex spent a year at the Royal Academy of Music and then transferred to the Royal College of Music for the rest of his undergraduate studies.
