Introducing this week’s performer…
Imogen Edwards (Pianist)
Welsh pianist Imogen Mari Edwards was born in 2002 and began learning the piano at 3 years old in her hometown Swansea, where she was immersed in music and art through the medium of welsh.
During her school years Imogen achieved grade 8 Distinction in four instruments, Piano, Flute, Harp, and Cello by the age of 15, with her first being the piano at aged 12.
She went on to study the piano and harp at Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester, completing her LRSM Diploma with distinction before achieving a place at the Royal College of Music, where she now studies with Professor Danny Driver in London.
Imogen has developed accomplished ensemble and orchestral playing over the years as well as her solo repertoire, performing and competing across the UK with like-minded musicians, but hopes to study abroad after her undergraduate degree to enhance her understanding of French piano music, her main interest and passion.
