Please note that we do our best to keep this calendar up-to-date but with so much going on at Claremont, we occasionally drop the ball. It’s unlikely for example that we’ll be quick enough to change the timetable if a tutor cancels at short notice. If you want to be certain about a class running and in which hall, please call us!  Things to bring with you: People are welcome to bring their own songs to work on – or there is a choice of some 350 song sheets spanning the last century and covering most genres.

Class Summary: The focus is on singing and making music in an informal and friendly context.  There are a wide range of percussive instruments which people are welcome to play and aspiring instrumentalists are welcome to bring in their own instruments. You don’t have to be a good singer – you just need to be adventurous enough to see what happens when you have a go!  It is the journey rather than the end result which counts in this group and there is plenty of support and encouragement amongst group members; there is also a microphone and amp, if you’d like to use one.  The group visits local care homes from time to time to share songs and memories with residents.
