Storytelling Workshop with Estorick Collection

Please note that we do our best to keep this calendar up-to-date but with so much going on at Claremont, we occasionally drop the ball. It’s unlikely for example that we’ll be quick enough to change the timetable if a tutor cancels at short notice. If you want to be certain about a class running, please call us! Tel: 020 7837 3402. Please also note that tickets bought online for our classes are non-refundable, for that day/class class only, and cannot be used for a different day or carried forward to another class!

Storytelling Workshop with Estorick Collection

March 13, 2023 - 2:00 pm

About the event

Come and join us for ‘The Secret Life of Mrs Bottle and Mr Cup’

Unlock the secrets of Giorgio Morandi’s still-life paintings

How can it be that ordinary objects, familiar in every household, have extraordinary stories to tell?

As a true art detective, you will discover their most profound meanings and learn how enjoying art can be both an individual experience and a community activity.

This workshop will be led by Carlo Corsato, an art historian and the Learning Coordinator at the Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art, London. He has worked for over ten years in adult education and museum learning, delivering hundreds of workshops, tours and lectures. Carlo is an expert in helping people discover stories and meanings in art.

The Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art opened in London in 1998. The Collection is known internationally for its core of Futurist works, as well as figurative art and sculpture dating from 1890 to the 1950s. The exhibition programme continues to address artists, movements, and questions in ways that change our understanding of Italian art and culture.

Come and join us this Monday, 13th March 2023, at 2 pm.

The session will be £3.50 and you must book in advance.

Bookings are to be done at reception.
