Strength and Balance (Fall and Osteoporosis)

Please note that we do our best to keep this calendar up-to-date but with so much going on at Claremont, we occasionally drop the ball. It’s unlikely for example that we’ll be quick enough to change the timetable if a tutor cancels at short notice. If you want to be certain about a class running, please call us! Tel: 020 7837 3402. Please also note that tickets bought online for our classes are non-refundable, for that day/class class only, and cannot be used for a different day or carried forward to another class!

Strength & Balance (Beginners and Intermediate) classes summary

Things to bring with you: Comfortable clothing

Augusto’s Strength & Balance sessions provide a gentle, achievable yet challenging full body workout, perfect for those who’d like to do some light exercise in a safe and supportive environment.

Led by fitness specialist Augusto Pardo, these classes are carefully designed to improve overall strength and balance. There are two classes available: Beginners and Intermediate, accommodating all levels of ability and confidence. Both the Beginners and Intermediate sessions help with fall and osteoporosis prevention and promote bone health.

A caring and thorough teacher, Augusto guides his participants throughout, demonstrating all movements and explaining the health benefits of each. Where required, exercises are individually tailored to each participant. There is a mixture of chair-work, use of resistance bands and exercises that take you travelling through the space, with the intermediate sessions introducing some floor and mat work.

Alike other fitness classes, if you are attending for first time, Augusto will ask you to fill in a PARQ form for health and safety purposes. This offers the chance for Augusto to learn about any issues you might have.

The session is £4

Tickets/ bookings will not be available for purchase on our website, all In-Centre sessions must be paid for in the Claremont building.
