Watercolour

Please note that we do our best to keep this calendar up-to-date but with so much going on at Claremont, we occasionally drop the ball. It’s unlikely for example that we’ll be quick enough to change the timetable if a tutor cancels at short notice. If you want to be certain about a class running, please call us! Tel: 020 7837 3402. Please also note that tickets bought online for our classes are non-refundable, for that day/class class only, and cannot be used for a different day or carried forward to another class!

About the event

Teacher: Clare Brookes

Things to bring with you: Watercolours, if you own them

Summary: After graduating from renowned art school Central St. Martins, Clare has worked as an Illustrator for many years. Specialising in watercolour painting, she has taught adults from beginners to advanced levels. Her aim is to impart her love of watercolours to her students and teach them the various techniques and special qualities of the medium. These sessions are aimed at creating enjoyment, relaxation, and a sense of achievement.

Clare has developed two books of her own compiled works and taught techniques that act as core resources for these sessions. One book moves from Beginner to Intermediate, guiding artists through a range of core techniques. The second book continues on from the first, introducing more advanced techniques via a larger selection of pieces. Attendees may take a painting from these books or bring in another piece of their choosing to re-create.

Please note that Watercolour, has a maximum capacity of 15 people ONLY, this will be on a first come first serve basis, so please make sure you are on time or early as we will not make an exception.
