Keeping our bodies fit and healthy is important no matter how old we are. It is perhaps especially important in later life, when bone density, muscle mass, joint wear-and-tear, and balance can become issues. Physical exercise and sport also have profound positive impacts on our psychological health. Some evidence also strongly suggests that exercise, such as social dancing, can even ward-off dementia.
