A joy shared is a joy doubled; a sorrow shared is a sorrow halved

Flourishing in life is not often easy. There are ups and downs, triumphs, disappointments, and tragedies. Who we are, how we matter to ourselves and others, and how do we cope with our vulnerabilities, is important to our quality of life. Claremont is all about self-development and community development. How can we be better versions of ourselves?

For some, making new friends, learning new things, and helping others do the same is what Claremont is all about. Around 80% of our older members live alone and isolation, boredom, and depression can easily follow the death of a partner and friends and family moving away. Sometimes it helps considerably to feel part of a new community, where life’s joys and trials can be shared.

Sometimes people need more specific help and we offer:

Low cost one-to-one psychotherapy (all adult ages): PSYCHOTHERAPY SERVICE

Art therapy groups. There are currently three groups for those aged 55+. Please contact Rebecca for more information: 020 7689 8091

We also periodically offer classes such as mindfulness, psycho-education, and discussions on philosophy and faith.
